Ans: A political party whose MLAs have won more than half the number of constituencies in a state can be said to be in a majority. The political party that has the majority is called the ruling party.
On the other hand, other members whose MLSs could not win more sit, are called the opposition.

Ans: In the legislative assembly debate is more important, because through this MLAs can express their opinions and ask questions related to the issue or give suggestions about what should be done by the government. Those who wish to, can respond to this. The minister then replies to the questions and tries to assure the Assembly that adequate steps are being taken. The chief minister and other ministers have to take decisions and run the government.

All of the elected members of the state government take decisions for the state in legislative assembly. Each members presents their problems and by the leadership of Chief Minister (C.M.) they makes planning to solve accordingly.
All the decisions and steps are taken by the government express in front of the media to convey that message to the common people.
II) Majority is required to take any decisions, means every kinds of decisions may be approved after getting the support from the more than half of the total number of MLAs.
